GoogleMy stay at The Yoga Barn was absolutely incredible. The sheer volume and variety of classes and treatments available is truly unbelievable — there is something for everyone, no matter what you’re looking for. The accommodation was spotless, with extremely comfortable beds and pillows that made it easy to fully relax. The food was out of this world — so fresh, nourishing, and delicious that I didn’t eat anywhere else for my entire stay. Every single staff member, from the groundskeepers to hospitality and admin, was warm, helpful, and genuinely lovely. The care and attention to detail across the entire property really shows. I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
completed my Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Barn in Ubud with Paul and Byron and the team. It was a deeply transformative experience. The training goes far beyond physical asana, with a strong emphasis on yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork, and self-inquiry. Practicing in such a lush, open, and grounding environment made it easier to slow down, listen inward, and truly connect with the teachings. The teachers were knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring, creating a safe space for growth, vulnerability, and learning. While the space can feel lively and busy at times, the sense of community and depth of practice made the journey incredibly meaningful. I would highly recommend this YTT to anyone seeking not just a certification, but a genuine inner journey through yoga and meditation. 🌿🧘🏽♀️
Anusara Yoga Class with Barbara Noh My first time practising Anusara yoga with Barbara Noh at the Yoga Barn Ubud. Barbara brought a beautiful calm energy to the class and I really enjoyed the practise. She gave clear instructions and offered continual verbal adjustments making it beginner friendly which suited me. The flow was well-paced, with challenging strength asanas and a focus on our alignment. I left feeling energised, stretched, and very relaxed. I would definitely recommend this class. I feel very inspired by Barbara and intend to explore her work further.
The Yoga Barn is genuinely one of the absolute best places to practice and understand the teachings of yoga. Throughout the five weeks of coming here during my stay in Ubud, it enabled me to practice some of the most wonderful and inspiring yoga and go so much deeper in my practice than I have ever done before. Yes, it’s a big place, yes, their booking system is a bit different and yes, you may have to queue for certain classes. However, it’s truly a testament for the quality of teaching that you will be able to receive. Once you’ve come to understand why they do it they way they do, you’ll be able to enjoy this experience to the fullest. There are teachers and classes for everyone and every preference. A special mention to Emily, Paul and Byron, who, each in their own unique way, are simply one of a kind. They deliver absolutely fantastic classes and truly ensure to pass on the teachings of yoga not just as a way to move your body, but as a deeply meaningful and spiritual practice that may change your life. I can’t wait to return soon.
Completing the 200hr YTT at The Yoga Barn was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. This training was not just about learning how to sequence a class or understand anatomy — it was about meeting myself more honestly. It challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways I didn’t expect. Byron de Marsé brought depth through inquiry — his way of asking questions invited us to look deeper, to reflect, and to think beyond the surface. Paul Teodo created a strong container of discipline and structure that grounded the entire training. Leah Santa Cruz guided us into embodiment and meditation, helping us connect inward with clarity and presence. Micheal Henri made anatomy come alive in a practical and accessible way, giving us confidence in understanding the body. And Laura McKnight offered steady support throughout the training, holding space with warmth and presence. The diversity of teaching styles and perspectives created a container that felt both expansive and safe. There was structure and discipline, but also heart. There was philosophy, but also practicality. There was room to grow, to question, to feel, and to step into our voices as teachers. What I appreciated most was the integrity of the training. It wasn’t about performance — it was about embodiment. If you are looking for a training that goes beyond poses and invites real self-inquiry while building a strong foundation as a teacher, this is a powerful place to begin. Grateful for this journey and everyone who shared it
