GoogleI was at The Silent Retreat Bali for one day and it was truly nourishing on every level. Surrounded by rice fields and nature, the space invites you to slow down immediately and reconnect with yourself. I will not exaggerate if I say that stay at Silent Retreat had the most transformative effect on my body and soul. The silence felt gentle, not strict, supportive rather than restrictive. The meditation spaces are beautiful and calming, and the food is fresh, wholesome, and prepared with real care. The atmosphere was so peaceful, grounded, and deeply authentic. At the chair for talking to the mountain, was the best place for self-reflection and insights. Highly recommend for anyone seeking peace, calm and true rest.
I came to Bali Silent Retreat looking for rest… and left with something much deeper: clarity, stillness, and a sense of inner grounding I didn’t even realize I was missing. From the moment I arrived, everything felt intentional — the gardens, the temples, the meals, the quiet rhythm of the day. The silence becomes a teacher of its own. Without distractions, I could finally hear my mind soften, my intuition sharpen, and my nervous system settle in a way I’ve never felt before. The food is nourishing, the staff are incredibly kind, and the property is pure magic — rice fields, jungle, and a peaceful energy that feels almost sacred. I felt completely held the entire time. If you are craving space to disconnect from the noise of life and reconnect with yourself, this place is extraordinary. It’s not just a retreat — it’s a reset for your entire being. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected than I have in years. I’m already planning my next visit.
I spent two weeks at the Bali Silent Retreat, and it was one of the most peaceful, rejuvenating experiences I’ve ever had. The property is surrounded by rice fields and filled with beautiful spaces that invite reflection — a crystal labyrinth, jungle walk, stargazing benches, fire pits, and so many quiet corners to simply be. The kitchen staff were incredible — kind, warm, and talented. Most of the food is sourced from the on-site gardens, and it was always fresh, healthy, and delicious. I loved the mindful eating approach, the cooking class, and the garden tour, which gave me a deeper connection to where the meals came from. The tea station, with fresh leaves and burners to create your own blends, was another highlight. The rooms are clean and simple — not luxury, but that’s not what you go here for. The bed was comfy. The shower was hot. It was perfect for the experience. And this place is more about connecting with nature. Yes, there are bugs, but that’s part of the reality of living so close to the earth. For me, that made the experience more grounding. The staff were always kind and attentive. One of my favorite aspects was the work lodge near reception. It gave me space to write, create, and focus on my projects during the day, while still honoring the silence of the main retreat space. It felt like the perfect balance — productive time blended with deep rest and quiet. I also loved the offering-making class, which was such a beautiful way to connect with Balinese culture. I joined the movement and meditation classes often (sometimes twice a day), relaxed in the book-filled lounge, and cherished the nightly bonfires. Meeting Wayan, the gamelan player, was unforgettable — he kindly taught me the instrument, and even brought me a coconut on my last day. The weekly talk by a nearby herbalist was another highlight, full of profound wisdom about plants, medicine, and the body. For me, this retreat was the perfect blend of silence and gentle opportunities to step out of it when desired — creative, calm, and peaceful without the strict rules of a full silent retreat. It’s more about stepping away from the constant energy of everyday life, conversations, and demands, and allowing yourself space to sit in stillness. Overall: A soul-nourishing experience that left me feeling restored, inspired, and deeply grateful. I would recommend Bali Silent Retreat wholeheartedly to anyone seeking quiet, creativity, and reconnection in nature.
I stayed at Bali Silent Retreat for three days, and it turned out to be one of the most grounding and restorative experiences I’ve ever had. Hidden among lush rice fields and jungle, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to truly disconnect — no talking, no devices, no rush — just space to breathe, rest, and reset. The food deserves special mention. Every meal is vegetarian and grown mostly on-site, bursting with freshness and color. Think fragrant curries, roasted vegetables, homemade bread, tropical fruits, herbal teas from the garden. Evenings often ended around the fire pit or under a wide, star-filled sky. The daily sessions were beautifully led and completely optional. The teachers offered gentle guidance without pressure or dogma, so even as a beginner I felt at ease. Between sessions, I walked through the gardens, visited the labyrinth, the jungle path and the river and just sat — doing my meditation which was surprisingly powerful. Perfect for anyone seeking to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with themselves in a truly serene environment. I’d return in a heartbeat — next time, for longer.
I’ve just finished three days at the Bali Silent Retreat, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I stayed in a deluxe cabin overlooking the rice fields—the sunrise views were absolutely breathtaking and are still vivid in my mind. Every morning, they leave a warm ginger tea outside your door, perfect for sitting quietly and soaking in the beauty of the place. The grounds are magical, from the crystal labyrinth to the forest trails—the energy is truly unmatched. And the food deserves its own chapter! Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. I’ve traveled the world tasting food, and this is without a doubt among the best I’ve ever had. The simplicity combined with flavor completely won me over. The outdoor shower was another highlight—showering under the open sky with the sounds of nature around you is an experience in itself. I will definitely be coming back in the future and am already recommending it to all my friends. Thank you, Bali Silent Retreat, for an unforgettable three days!
