I had a meaningful experience at Yoga Darshanam in Mysore. The training is sincere and rooted in tradition, and I truly value the dedication of the teachers. There were many things I loved: giving a home to the little kitten that arrived during my stay, the fresh and delicious food, the spacious and very clean rooms, and the kind people supporting the ashram. The location is also special surrounded by nature, offering a true ashram atmosphere. If you’re looking for a deeper retreat experience, the peaceful setting is beautiful, and on weekends it’s easy and inexpensive to take a cab into Mysore without any hassle. At the same time, there is some room for growth. For beginners, following the Ashtanga method can feel challenging, so more attention to different levels — supporting newcomers while offering advanced students deeper challenges — would be wonderful. I would also appreciate more female teachers and a culture where taking personal breaks is openly welcomed. While I deeply respect tradition and cultural differences, more sensitivity around comments on bodies or flexibility would be helpful, as everyone’s journey is unique. Certain traditional kriyas (like vomiting water) can also be triggering for some people, and acknowledging this with care would make the space even more inclusive. Overall, I’m grateful for what I learned here and hope the school continues evolving while honoring its roots.🙏🙏🙏

Hi, this is Jean. I began my journey into ashtanga at Yogadarshanam Ashrama with a 300hr, and I’m very grateful for this wonderful new ashram. The yoga shala is spacious and inviting. The rooms for rest and self-practice are impeccably clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views of the surrounding nature bring awe, stillness, and focus to the practice. The space itself—along with the experience and guidance of the teachers and fellow students—created a perfect environment for my learning and growth in the primary series. Beyond the asana practice, the mantra chanting classes, pranayama sessions, and yoga philosophy teachings were truly wonderful. I gained so much from all of them. Thank you to Mr. Santosh Kumar for creating this space and for your teachings. And a special thank you to the young, patient, and skilled teacher Pratik Kumar. I hope your path continues to deepen through various yoga practices. Your guidance in the primary series asana practice has taught me so much. 🙏 I do want to gently offer some reflection on the areas that didn’t fully resonate with me: some of the meditation and healing bowl practices. Creating a space where people can open up and feel truly vulnerable requires more than good intentions and is not for show as primary motive 📸—it takes genuine tools, skilled guidance, and a safe container. Opening one’s heart is not simple; it requires a deeply sincere and thoughtful approach. I truly enjoyed the ashram’s tranquility and the beauty of the surrounding area, with the temple and river nearby where we often went for swimming. Thank you for this wonderful space and these wonderful teachers. 🙏 May we all continue on the path of endless learning and growth. 🙏☺️

Hello.... Past 4/5 month I was looking for a good yoga ttc school in India, I was very much scared to where I take the admission because I was beginner I didn't know what I have to learn, which course is suitable for me, will may I do the ttc or not as I am fresher, so many doubts I was having.... But from which day I have started to enquire with Yogadarshanam School and I have been talked with Santosh Kumar Guruji he solved all of my doubts and finally I came here and I have successfully done my 200 hrs ttc. Not only 200 hrs, but I got the certificate about 250 hrs which the school is offering complimentary kids yoga and pre and postnatal yoga also. As the ashram is located in Greenery I was having fear for insects but as I came in this place I realised I am in very much safest place. Although I am beginner, in one month I have done my Shirshasana, Halasana, Sarvangasan.. it is just possible due to Santosh Sir how beautifully he taught me it is I miracal for me... am very much lucky that I found this good yoga ashrama. I highly recommend Yogadarshanam to anyone interested in self-practice, understanding and teaching skills on their yoga journey. The School is located in very peaceful and green surroundings. Very light and saatvik food which makes us lighter and brighter. accommodation were amazing. Thank you for this wonderful month which will stay with me forever!.... Thanku Smita.

I’ve recently completed 200 hours yoga teacher training course in Yogadarshanam which i highly recommend for beginners to the ones who have already practiced. You get to stay in a peaceful location which is very calming and the instructors are well trained to teach you from basics. If you get sometime or if you could take a break, it is totally worth learning yoga from Yogadarshanam for your mind and body
