GoogleI really enjoyed visiting this temple. It is unfortunate that women are not allowed to enter the main hall, but the exterior beauty of the temple is truly impressive. Especially at sunset, the surroundings feel even more magical. Although the area is quite touristy, it still left a strong impression. At the nearby temple, women are allowed to enter, and I had the opportunity to speak with a monk there, who also gave me a blessed red string bracelet. Overall, this is a very popular tourist spot, but I would recommend visiting at least once, as the Silver Temple is truly unique.
The Silver Temple is especially beautiful at night — glowing, atmospheric, and very peaceful. Lighting a candle there felt quietly spiritual. The embossed silver details are fascinating, including unexpected touches like space invaders, electric guitars, and other pop-culture motifs. The surrounding night market adds to the atmosphere. Worth noting that women aren’t allowed inside the main hall, which may be disappointing for some. Overall, a memorable and unique place to visit.
The temple is absolutely stonishing and impressive. Beautiful , and if is a sunny day then is even prettier. However as i respect other cultures and they dont let woman to enter in, as a symbol of them for respecting other cultures that come to this beautiful country , they shouldnt charge the entrance for woman to the exterior. Why would woman have to pay the same amount that man but not to have the same in return?
Visiting the Silver Temple (Wat Sri Suphan) was truly breathtaking. The detailed silver craftsmanship shines beautifully and feels almost magical, especially in the light. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritual, making the visit feel special and meaningful. A unique and unforgettable gem of Chiang Mai. It is a peaceful place where I experienced meditation and learned how to calm the mind.
I definitely recommend visiting. Note that unfortunately women are not allowed inside the Silver Temple, only men. Absolutely stunning details and craftsmanship. Go in the evening, there are not many tourists then and the place looks magical at dusk. Entrance only 50THB. We also tried the meditation tour which cost 99THB
