I had the chance to follow different classes with Kanchen (who owns the shala), pranayama, mantra chanting and also Hatha yoga. All of them were very interesting, because Kanchen likes to pass on all of her knowledge (which is huge), I loved all the fun facts that she incorporated in her classes. I am grateful for having learnt so many things, if you come to Mysore for yoga, you should go to this shala, it is a unique life experience. Also, the neighborhood is nice and calm, not far away from Mysore palace (15 min walking distance). When I came, accommodation was available near the shala which was very convenient. Thanks Kanchen π
I was in Mysore just for 2 days and did 2 private Ashtanga yoga classes with Pradeep. He challenged my physical boundaries with adjustments and helped me with alignment in the asanas. These sessions took my yoga practice to the next level and I would love to come back in the future for more classes. Thanks so much β¨
Last January I had the blessing to take the pranayama course with teacher Kanchen and I can only say WOW. Her knowledge and profound explanations kept me on the edge of my seat every single class. Been doing yoga for almost 8 years and I feel this is my first time doing REAL yoga. If you have the opportunity to come to this Shala or you are thinking about it, GO FOR IT! Believe me when I say you wonβt regret it. So so grateful for everything i learned and i canβt wait to come back :) it was truly a pleasure ππΌππΌππΌπ€
This Shala and Kanchen are amazing. Kanchen (the teacher) was helpful from the lead up to my arrival till even after my departure. She provided detailed and easy to follow teachings on pranayama, hatha yoga and philosophy around. Also connecting me with excellent teachers for ayurveda studies. The Shala is beautiful, located in the centre of town yet still quite. The accommodation she provided was around the corner and had everything I needed. Kanchen is a lovely, caring and passionate lady who shares her extensive knowledge of yoga to those who want. She has created a family atmosphere in the Shala and I felt very welcomed. Lots of gratitude for my time at the Shala and with Kanchen
